The image is great, but I take issue with your title (which can make or break the photograph)...there's no sign of "life" in the picture.

@Nick Chase: Ah, but that there is not sign of life is the very point of the picture.
I keep seeing these images with blurring and wondering how on earth to get the same effecgt - out with the camera again! I like the use of b&w in this image, and dont' entirely agree with Nick Chase - there is a wee bit of life, but perhaps it's quite a contrast with how the pier is during the day?!
