Excitement is sweeping through Kenmare. Check out what I received several days back.
Congratulations! Your entry in our Portfolio Contest 2008 has been selected for a Merit
Award, which means that your chosen images will be published as a 2-page feature in
the Special Issue of B&W magazine scheduled to arrive on newsstands the first week of
June. There are only 68 winners in this category (out of a total of 837 entries), so you
can be confident in drawing the conclusion that we felt your work stood out from the
rest in a way that deserved this special attention. This is the only notification you’ll
receive—unfortunately you’ll have to wait a few weeks to see which ones of your
images we chose. One complimentary copy of the Special Issue will be sent to you as
soon as it comes off the presses. Once again, congratulations!

I finished my Solo Photo Month Book, Postcards from the Far Side of the World (at least for me). Check it out at this link: MY BOOK!!!. How it works is you have a month to take and edit at least 35 pictures in a month. The pictures are put into a pdf that is uploaded to the sofobomo website. It is really challenging!
